In the 18th and 19th centuries brides wore many colors on their wedding day. It was not until the 20th century that white became the traditional color of wedding gowns. A young woman’s wedding dress was a treasured keepsake often packed away in a trunk or chest and preserved within the family for generations.

Today we are cleaning and preserving a christening dress made in 1880. Heirloom and valuable antique clothing restoration should not me done by just any cleaner.
